RED TAIL HAWK DOC GETS AWARD WINNING FINISH BY BIONIC
Belgian documentary filmmaker, Frederic Lilien chose Bionic to finish his epic 18 year effort for theatrical release. “The Legend of Pale Male” is “The true story of the 18 year love affair between New Yorkers and a wild hawk.” It portrays the life and times of Pale Male, a heroic Red Tail Hawk that makes his home on New York’s Upper East Side with Central Park as his hunting grounds. Bionic’s Brian Beatrice provided the feature length sound design and final mixes in both stereo and 5.1 surround. Sr. Editor, Brian Donnelly conformed and created a magical final color correction, blending 18 years worth of footage into one seamless whole. Designer/Animator Patrick Kelly provided title design and Editorial Assistant, Won Huh did the technical “heavy lifting”. The film premiered May 8 at the International Wildlife Film Festival and won “Best of Festival” in its first outing. Congrats Frederic!
